| TO THE POINTE SUSAN LEVINE, HPA PRESIDENT AUGUST 2, 2024 Good Morning Residents, AUGUST IS AN EVEN MONTH – PARK ON THE EVEN SIDE OF THE STREET. HPA JULY 29, 2024 MEETING Steve Rivenson of Phase III has resigned from the HPA Board and as our Treasurer. We thank him for his many years of service, dedication and hard work for the betterment of the community. We all wish him well.The Board reorganized and voted in Phyllis Sandler of Phase I as our new Treasurer.Larry Zabik gave an update on the remaining payment due Bliss Construction.There are still several items that need to be resolved. We are hopeful this will all be resolved by the end of August. He also informed us that the PBC Building Department is now requiring us to install a bathroom in the maintenance building. The cost should be covered with the contingency money in the proposed budget. The Board also passed the following Motions: 1. To return the additional $2M borrowed from South State Bank. 2. To engage Jack Brown & Associates to replace RAI as the clubhouse roof consultant at a cost of $9,500. Danny Stokes of RAI has retired. 3. To purchase a pre-recorded announcement system from Hospitality Multi Media at a cost of $1,203.00 for the theater. 4. To have Maximum Landscaping regrade and reinstall new grass at the Bocce courts for a cost of $4,900. After the project is completed, the Bocce courts will be closed for 3 weeks in order to allow the new grass to take root. Watering will now be reduced to three days a week. You may be seeing brown spots on the grass due to the reduced watering. MAIN POOL SPA The holding tank finally arrived yesterday and is in the process of being installed. Weather permitting, next week the electrician will start to run the electrical lines to the spa. CLUBHOUSE – ANNUAL CLEANING The Clubhouse will be closed from Monday, August 5th until Sunday, August 11th and will reopen on Monday, August 12th at 8:00am. CAFE – ANNUAL CLEANING The Cafe will be closed for only two (2) days. Monday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 6th and will reopen on Wednesday, August 7th at 8:00am. CAFE – FRIED SEAFOOD NIGHT – FRIDAY, AUGUST 9th – 5:00pm – 7:00pm For reservations call 774-634-9910. To view the menu click on the button below. LETS PLAY BINGO TONIGHT – 7:00 PM – BALLROOM Please arrive before 6:30pm to purchase your cards and markers. All money taken in is returned as prize money. FITNESS STUDIO – SPECIAL GOLD ZUMBA CLASS – SUNDAY NIGHT A Gold Zumba class will be given on Sunday, August 4th @5:30pm. This is an easy dancing class with low impact on your joints. The class is open to the first 27 residents who have signed up. Please make sure your name is on the sign up sheet at the clubhouse reception desk. BOX OFFICE HOURS – MONDAY/WEDNESDAY 9:30AM – 11:30AM Checks should be made out to the HPA. Please indicate on your check, the name of the show and the number of tickets per show.
