Good Morning Residents,

CLUBHOUSE
On Monday, when ticket sales opened, we experienced an unexpected technical issue with the ThunderTix website. Due to very high demand, the system became overloaded and temporarily unresponsive. This slowdown not only made it difficult for residents to access the ticketing site but also interfered with the box office’s ability to select seats and sell tickets. We had approximately 77 residents in the clubhouse, some waiting in the lobby as early as 8:00 a.m. to purchase tickets. We understand how important it is for friends to sit together, although at times this can be a challenge to accommodate due to high demand and seating limitations. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to help ensure smoother sales in the future. Your support is what makes these events so special for our community. Thank you to those residents and staff members who helped others in the clubhouse with their questions and online purchases. A special THANK YOU to Mary Rudnick, who manually selected over 225 seats for residents who purchased tickets at the box office.

ROADWAYS
On Monday evening, we experienced an unusually intense lightning and thunderstorm which brought torrential rains to the area, overwhelming drainage systems and causing roadways and streets to flood in several communities throughout Delray. The flooding you observed was the result of excessive rainfall. Approximately 3 inches of rain fell in a very short period of time. Once the storm passed, the water began to drain as expected. We remind residents not to attempt to drive through flooded areas. Flood water can severely damage your vehicle and put your safety at risk.

FROM THE LAKE WORTH DRAINAGE DISTRICT:
“Flood Protection Does Not Equal Flood Proof”

Most Modern residential drainage systems do not require any human intervention. Since the mid-1970s, development standards for drainage systems have been regulated through design and permitting to ensure flood protection. Average rainfall will flow into on-site stormwater retention ponds or lakes through swales and drains. During heavy rain events, systems are designed to protect house floor pads. Temporary flooding of streets and parking lots is expected. Flooding may be experienced when extreme volumes of rain fall in a brief period of time, and rainfall exceeds the water management system design.

Enjoy Life!
