| TO THE POINTE SUSAN LEVINE, HPA PRESIDENT OCTOBER 10, 2025 Good Morning Residents, GATE HOUSE PROCEDURES As you know, we all share the goal of keeping our community safe and secure. Our Gate House team works hard every day to ensure that everyone who enters belongs here and that our neighborhood remains protected. Please remember that all guests and visitors, even those listed on your Call-In list must show valid identification when they arrive. If a guest or visitor does not have any form of identification, they unfortunately cannot be allowed entry. This rule is in place for everyone’s safety. Recently, we had an incident where a visitor without any identification was turned away, even though they were on a resident’s list. The individual was operating a vehicle but had no form of Identification. It was a reminder of how important these procedures are for keeping our community secure. We also ask that everyone treat our Gate House staff with kindness and respect. They’re here to help, and any form of verbal abuse towards staff will not be tolerated. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued efforts to keep our community a safe and welcoming place for all. COLUMBUS DAY – OCTOBER 13, 2025 – FEDERAL HOLIDAY This holiday is observed on the second Monday of October. It recognizes the historic voyage of Christopher Columbus’s 1492 journey to the Americas while also marking the histories and cultures of Indigenous peoples. CAFE – THANKSGIVING DINNER BUFFET – NOVEMBER 27, 2025 This dinner will be held in the ballroom from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. For reservations, call 774-634-9910. HPA ENTERTAINMENT – SAVE THE DATE Beginning Monday, November 3, 2025, at 9:00 am, tickets will be on sale at both the box office and online for the following shows: Uptown Motown Remixed – Saturday, January 24, 2026 – 8 pm. Chicago Rewind – Sunday, February 22, 2026 – 8 pm. Broadway Tonight Live! – Saturday, March 7, 2026 – 8 pm. These shows are $25 per person/per ticket. Only two tickets per residence will be sold. The website will be password-protected. More information to follow in the coming weeks. BOX OFFICE HOURS On Monday, November 3rd, ONLY the box office will open at 9:00 am and will remain open until 1:00 pm. HPA NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY – SAVE THE DATE The Events Committee will be selling tickets for this event starting on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Pre-Function room. Tickets are $90 per person. Two tickets per residence will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, click on the button below. FOOD DRIVE – OCTOBER 1st – NOVEMBER 1st. Our annual food drive is now underway. We invite everyone to take part in supporting local families who could use a little extra help this season. Donations of non-perishable food items, such as canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, and peanut butter are greatly appreciated. All items can be dropped off at the Clubhouse lobby through November 1st. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Together, we can help ensure that no one goes without a good meal. SATELLITE POOL RENOVATIONS The North Pool construction has proceeded to the rebuilding phase. The new gutter wall has been fabricated, and concrete reinforcement has been applied to the walls, floor and steps. FIRE PREVENTION WEEK – OCTOBER 5th – OCTOBER 11, 2025 Fire Prevention Week serves as an important reminder that being prepared saves lives. Take a few minutes to review your home safety measures, especially smoke and carbon monoxide detection systems. Every home should have working smoke alarms inside each bedroom and outside the sleeping areas. If you live in a Villa and haven’t already done so, you should consider installing Carbon Monoxide detectors. Each device should be tested monthly and have batteries replaced as needed.
