HPA BOD JANUARY 19, 2026 MEETING – SUMMARYThe HPA Board voted on the following motion: To approve the proposal from Insight Studios at a cost of $7500 to prepare a landscape design package for the Lake Ida Hedge project. The Board tabled a motion to adopt a policy, prohibiting the open carrier of firearms on or within any Community common areas of the Huntington Pointe Master Association. At our meeting, we were fortunate to have two Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Deputies in attendance who provided valuable information to our residents regarding the legal differences between concealed carry and open carry of firearms. Based on their guidance, and in consultation with our association attorney, the motion will be revised to address both open carry and concealed carry of a firearm on association-owned common property. This policy is intended solely to promote the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents and guests while using shared Community spaces. It does not interfere with, restrict, or challenge anyone’s constitutional right to bear arms. You may view the complete meeting on our website.
