CLUBHOUSE The Men’s Steam Room is still being worked on. The vendor is waiting for the tiles to be delivered. He has no control over these deliveries. On Monday our Interior Designer WDG brought back their lightning expert along with their electrician and met with Harvey Shapiro, the VP of the Billiards Club. It is their opinion that the fixtures over the tables are not the problem causing shadows on the tables. It is the need for more lighting from the ceiling. The electrician will be returning to add additional lights to the ceiling over one table as a test to see if this solves the problem. EMERGENCY AFTER HOURS – 561-496-3801 All calls that are received at the front desk from 11pm to 7am go directly to the Platinum guard at the gatehouse. The guard calls Marvin Chery, Property Manager or Chiara Stoner, Phase Manager with the concern if it needs to be addressed immediately. If you have a Medical Emergency dial 911. POOLS Yesterday the long awaited compressors for the North and East pools were installed by Symbiont. The North and East pools are heating to 82 degrees. The equipment needs some minor adjustments in the coming days. Once these adjustments are done the pools should be back to 86 degrees. The indoor pool is NOT being filled in. The tiles are being replaced, new handrails installed. The old lights inside the pool are being replaced with new LED lights, along with a lap lane. LANDSCAPING If you have noticed some brown patches on the grass in several areas, it is called Mosaic Virus. This seems to be prevalent in many neighboring communities. This virus sometimes kills sections of the grass. This is a mold in the soil when it’s damp and gets cool out. We seem to get this every year. Maximum Landscaping is addressing this problem one area at a time. HPA SPECIAL INSURANCE RENEWAL MEETING – SUMMARY David Zemlin, from IOA Insurance was present to update us on the March 1, 2024 renewal of our clubhouse Insurance. Our Property Insurance renews on May 15, 2024. The Board passed the following motion: To accept the insurance proposal from IOA at a cost of $205,923 effective March 1, 2024 with the exception of property coverage (which renews May 15, 2024) and EDP insurance not to exceed $2500. This meeting is available for viewing on our website. BINGO TONIGHT – 7:00pm – BALLROOM Please arrive by 6:30 to purchase your playing cards. Markers are available @ $1.25 ea. HPA CONCERT SERIES – THE N.Y. TENORS – WEDNESDAY MARCH 6th @ 8:00pm. The doors will open at 7:15pm. The show starts promptly at 8pm. If you use a Walker, please place a tag with your name and seat number on it. An usher will help you. Walkers are placed in the back of the theater. FIRE SAFETY CLASS – THURSDAY MARCH 26th at 10:00am – BALLROOM A member of the PBC Fire Rescue education department will be giving a class on Fire Safety at HP. Topics that will be covered are Smoke Alarms, Fire escape plans, Cooking and Electrical safety. All residents are urged to attend. Please register for this class at the front desk.
