Huntington Pointe

TO THE POINTE 01/16

Good Morning Residents,

We would like to remind everyone of the importance of following our community rules and regulations. These rules are in place to ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all. Unfortunately, there continue to be instances where a small number of residents choose to ignore them, believing the rules do not apply to them. We are not looking to act as “rule enforcers,” however, the ongoing disregard for these policies has reached a point where formal notices will begin to be issued to residents who do not comply. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration to help maintain our community standards.

POOL RENOVATION PROJECT

As part of the pool renovation project, the steps were redesigned to improve safety and accessibility. However, this does not mean the steps are intended for additional seating or lounging. The steps are designed strictly for ingress and egress (entering and exiting the pool) and must be kept clear to ensure a safe passage for all swimmers, including in the event of an emergency. We appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep the pool area safe and accessible for everyone.

CLUBHOUSE LIBRARY

The library remains a great space to find a book, sit, and relax while reading. We are running out of room. We are asking you to hold off on donating Fiction Hardcover Books, Non-Fiction, and Magazines until further notice. The Public Library at Hagen Ranch accepts donated books. We will only accept Fiction Paperback Books in good condition. We had library volunteers when we first opened, but the staff has dwindled to just two residents. We are looking for volunteers to reshelve books, stamp new acquisitions as needed, shift and discard books in bad condition. Contact Hillary Yagerman at 516-532-4030 if you have any questions or would like to volunteer. Please adhere to the donation guidelines until further notice. Thank you.

ESA/SERVICE ANIMALS – REMINDER

We do not allow RETRACTABLE LEASHES for animals. Your animal must be on a regular leash no longer than 6 feet. Owners must always be in full control of their animal. No animal should be OFF A LEASH at any time.

DRIVERS BEWARE

If you are driving by a Public School, please be reminded that there are automated cameras in these areas. If you are driving during arrival and dismissal time, please follow the specific rules that flashing lights at public schools indicate a 20-mph limit during these times. The cameras remain active throughout the entire school day based on the regularly posted speed limit. The cameras are programmed to catch anyone traveling more than 10 mph over the limit, though they do not remain on during evenings, weekends, and school holidays. Drivers will face a $100 fine. These are classified as civil penalties. This means that while the fine must be paid, no points will be added to a driver’s license. Signs are posted at all locations to ensure drivers are aware they are entering a camera-enforced zone.

Enjoy Life!
