SUSAN LEVINE, HPA PRESIDENT
FEBRUARY 13, 2026
Good Morning Residents,

CLUBHOUSE
Over the next two weeks, we anticipate additional visitors at HP, as some northern schools are on winter recess. Many children and grandchildren will be visiting our community during this time. Please remember to drive carefully. The speed limit is 25 MPH, and stop signs mean a complete STOP.  With more pedestrians and young visitors in the area, extra caution is especially important. Also, please keep in mind that residents are responsible for the actions of their visitors and guests. We appreciate everyone doing their part to help keep our community safe and enjoyable for all.

CARD ROOMS
Last week, in an effort to help reduce overcrowding in some of the card rooms, we arranged for tables and chairs to be set up in the Pre-Function room to provide additional space for cards, Mahjong, or other gameplay. However, since the room was not used by anyone throughout the week, it will no longer be set up for this purpose. We appreciate everyone’s input and remain open to suggestions that will best serve our community.

AGENDA:
Insurance renewal & discussion
Motion to prohibit firearms on common grounds
Pool coping upgrade

NORTH POOL/SPA OPENING
We are pleased to announce that the North Pool reopened on Tuesday, February 10th, following several months of planned upgrades and repairs. Improvements include a new Diamond Brite finish, decorative tiles, upgraded stairways with double handrails, a new water circulation system, and updates to meet current Palm Beach County Codes. The Spa was completely redone as part of this project. The bathrooms have also been refreshed with new faucets, toilets, and bright white paint. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you enjoy the updated pool and spa.

NORTH/SOUTH LAKE
Each year around this time, our community experiences a dry season with little to no rainfall, which causes the water levels in our lakes to drop. To be proactive and protect our equipment, we have temporarily turned off the fountains. With the water levels being low, operating the fountains could stir up sediment and muck from the bottom of the lakes, potentially damaging the fountain motors. You may have also noticed an increase in fish floating near the surface. These are Floridian fish and are sensitive to colder temperatures. Unfortunately, some were unable to survive. As soon as we receive sufficient rainfall and the lake levels return to normal, the fountains will be turned back on.

MATURE DRIVERS SAFETY COURSE
Yesterday, we hosted the Mature Drivers Safety Course presented by the Alliance of Delray Residential Association. We were pleased that 80 residents signed up for this important, informative class. Unfortunately, only 26 residents attended, and we did not receive any prior notification from those who were unable to participate. This was very disappointing. Programs like this require planning, coordination, and resources, and when participants do not attend without notice, it impacts both the presenter and fellow residents who may have wished to attend. We kindly ask that in the future, if you register for an event and find you are unable to attend, please notify us in advance. This courtesy allows us to better manage our programs and offer opportunities to others. We appreciate the residents who did attend and hope to continue offering valuable programs for our community. Thank you for your cooperation.

HPA – CHICAGO REWIND SHOW- SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2026
We have five single tickets available for sale. The box office is open Mondays/Wednesdays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Tickets can also be purchased online through our website.

ANIMAL OWNERS
Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are not considered Service Animals under the ADA. Misrepresenting an animal as a Service Animal in Florida is punishable by a fine of up to $500 and up to 60 days in jail. Additionally, offenders may be required to complete up to 30 hours of community service (Florida Statutes 817.265 & 413.08).

Enjoy Life!
