Huntington Pointe

Citizen Observer Patrol

The “Huntington C.O.P.” unit is a volunteer service group. As an official branch of the Palm Beach County sheriff’s office we patrol our community in a police vehicle provided by the county sheriff. Our mission is to minimize crime in our community by serving as “eyes and ears” for the Palm Beach sheriff. Our drivers are continuously in direct communication with dispatchers who are informed of their status. Our community provides the volunteer manpower, while the sheriff provides the training, the vehicles and all necessary expenses, including fuel and maintenance. Furthermore, all volunteers, while in uniform (provided by the sheriff) are fully covered by Workmen’s Compensation. Note: We do not “enforce” any of the community rules nor the county laws. We observe and report!

As a volunteer you may serve as few as 3 hours per week. Meet with our unit captain, Frankie Goldstein and arrange your schedule to your own convenience.    Individuals as well as “couples” who may drive together are encouraged to join.

We meet the 3rd Friday of each month in the Huntington Pointe clubhouse.

Please contact Frankie Goldstein with any questions at fgolds4711@aol.com.
