| TO THE POINTE SUSAN LEVINE, HPA PRESIDENT AUGUST 23, 2024 Good Morning Residents, THE PAVING LADY/ENGENUITY LAWSUIT HAS BEEN SETTLED Our attorney, Andy Wyman is waiting for Paving Lady and Engenuity to prepare their settlement documents and a general release. Once these documents have been approved by all parties, they will be circulated for signature. Until all the documents have been completed, we have been advised by our attorney, that this is still privileged information and we cannot discuss details at this time. Once everything is finalized we will have an HPA meeting. Andy Wyman will be present to explain the settlement. CLUBHOUSE THEATER To the residents who sat in seats Q108/109 at Saturday nights show. You were very inconsiderate to the residents who sat around you. You kept turning your phones on and off multiple times. The light from your phones was very distracting. Residents, please turn off your phones completely at our shows and movies. CAFE – MAINE LOBSTER NIGHT – SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 1st 5:00PM-7:00PM. CAFE – SEPTEMBER DAILY SPECIALS To view next month’s daily specials click on the button below. MAIN POOL SCREENED AREA There will be NO CAFE service at this area. You may bring your own lunch and you must clean up after yourself. This area is also used for playing cards and mahjong. SPA All the piping has been completed. The first stage of the electric lines have been completed. We are still waiting for the county inspection before the lines can be connected. WATER AEROBICS – SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK It is important to remember that during all Body Wellness Water Classes you MUST NOT go into the deep end of the pool during water class time. Please observe pool safety protocols and remain in shallow water at all times during water classes. If you cannot swim you should not be in the pool without a swim belt. HPA AUGUST 19, 2024 MEETING – SUMMARY The Board approved the following motions:To purchase a new Recumbent Cross Trainer from NuStep to replace the defective unit at a cost of $8,296.To have Maximum Landscaping add pavers around the Bocce Courts at a cost of $11,800, instead of re-leveling the grass.To temporarily use a card room as a ping pong room from September 1st until April 1st at which time this will be re-evaluated.To purchase an additional ping pong table, color blue, not to exceed $3,000. The old ping pong room will be used to store the tables and chairs from the card room until the Maintenance Building is built. Once the tables and chairs are cleared out of the old ping pong room, that room will then be used as a small card room and conference room.If we find the existing card rooms are overcrowded, we will set up card tables in the pre-function room or ballroom if needed. HP SPEED LIMIT – 25MPH – STOP SIGNS MEAN – S T O P Again, I’ve been missed quoted. No one wants more speed bumps. We do need to do something about the speeding and driving past the stop signs. Would you like to have Rumble Strips in the road to get your attention to this problem? ROADWAYS The main roadways at HP are for motor vehicles to drive on, not MOBILITY SCOOTERS. For your safety, you need to use the sidewalks. DRIVEWAY PONDING REPAIRS Weather permitting the contractor will start this project on Sunrise Pointe Court the week of September 9th. BOX OFFICE – TICKET SALES – MONDAY/WEDNESDAY The box office is open from 9:30am until 11:30am.Tickets are being sold at our box office as well as on line for the following shows:Marcel & Marcela Rasa – Saturday, September 21st @ 8:00pm.Beatlemanix USA – Saturday, November 16th @ 8:00pm.Elton John “Rocketman” show – Saturday, December 14th @ 8:00pm. FITNESS STUDIO – LINE DANCING A line dancing class will be held in the studio on Thursday evening August 29th at 5:30pm. EXERCISE CLASSES AND WATER AEROBICS Residents need to understand that you cannot be disrespectful to the Body Wellness Instructors and each other. There are no reserved spots in the fitness studio when taking a class. There are no reserved spaces in the pool during water aerobics. If residents continue this behavior, you will be asked to leave the class. SAVE THE DATE – FLU SHOTS – WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 25, 2024 Flu Shots will be given from 9:00am until 12 Noon in our Pre-Function room.
