| TO THE POINTE SUSAN LEVINE, HPA PRESIDENT DECEMBER 6, 2024 Good morning Residents, CLUBHOUSE When in the Theater, please remember to wait until the house lights are turned on before leaving. If for some reason you need to exit the show early you are to go to the back of the theater and use the main exit doors. DO NOT cross in front of the stage while the entertainers are performing and then open the side exit doors. THEATER – COCKROACHES This is what happens when we constantly write NO FOOD IN THE THEATER and the CARD ROOMS, and you just keep bringing food and candy to these areas. We now have cockroaches from scraps of food and popcorn left on the floor in the theater. The food source provides an easy source for these pests, encouraging them to breed and spread. Cockroaches are known to thrive in warm, dark environments, and the theater is an ideal setting for them. As the problem worsens, these pests quickly move beyond the theater. Currently, we have the exterminator working to eliminate these pests. To prevent this, residents are encouraged to refrain from bringing food into the theater and card rooms. Keeping the theater and card rooms clean is essential to maintaining a comfortable, pest free environment for all residents. CAFE – DINNER BEFORE THE “ROCKETMAN” SHOW Saturday, December 14, 2024 – 5:00pm – 7:00pm For reservations and pre-order call 774-634-9910. To view the menu, click on the button below. HPA SILVER CAFE CARDS If you still have a remaining balance on your HPA Cafe card it has to be used up by December 31, 2024, or you will lose whatever balance is left on the card. These balances DO NOT get carried over. MAINTENANCE BUILDING The curbing install has been completed. Electrical has been completed. Ceiling lights have been installed. Mechanical roughs are completed. Ceiling tiles have been installed. Door hardware has been installed. Installation of the driveway scheduled for next week. Landscaping to follow. BINGO – NEW GAMES – TONIGHT AT 7:00PM – BALLROOM Please arrive by 6:30pm to purchase your cards and markers. Friends and Family welcome. Enjoy your small snacks while playing. GYM – SPECIAL SESSION DECEMBER 9th – DECEMBER 14th. There will be an instructor in the GYM next week from 10:00am to 4:00pm to instruct residents on the proper and safe use of the equipment. We must remind you; the instructor is not here as a personal trainer. GYM EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE We are waiting for the vendor to give us a definite date. Some of the equipment will be out of service for a few hours for maintenance to be done. Trails will be added to all the treadmills. FITNESS STUDIO – CHAIR ZUMBA Special class tomorrow morning, Saturday 12/7 at 10:00am. MAIN OUTDOOR/INDOOR POOLS Symbiont, who provides our GeoThermal pool heating system, has been working on getting the new equipment installed. It’s not just the installation of the part it also includes the plumbing and rewiring. Once this is completed it will take several days to bring the water to a comfortable temperature to swim. To view the new part, click on the button below. POOLS – TEMPERATURE Each year we have the same concerns with the colder days and the pool water temperature. The heat pumps are on automatic. There is no way to start heating the water earlier. After a cold night typically anything below 70°, It takes several hours for such large bodies of water to warm up again. It will take even longer when the temperature drops below 60/50 degrees. SATELLITE POOLS Vendors were on site yesterday to inspect the pools before they start their renovation bidding process. TENNIS/PICKLEBALL COURTS Vendors were on site to view the courts and give their suggestions for improvement. BOCCE COURT We are in the process of getting quotes for providing shade for this area. CARPORT REPAIRS They have started in Phase II at building 120/121. These repairs will take several weeks to complete. CONCERT SERIES TICKETS – PICK UP DATES If you purchased Concert Series tickets you can pick them up at the Clubhouse Box Office between 9:30am & 11:30am on 12/11, 12/12 & 12/13. SPANISH CLASS – FRIDAY, JANUARY 3, 2025 Laila Petruzziallo will once again be teaching a beginner’s class starting in January from 11:00am-12Noon in the Pre-Function room. If you are interested in attending this class and for more information, please email her @ HPSpanishone2025@gmail.com. BOX OFFICE – MONDAY/WEDNESDAY 9:30am-11:30am. We still have tickets available to purchase for the Elton John “Rocketman” show on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Tickets are still available for our other shows at the box office and online. VOLUNTEERS WANTED We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers willing to give up some of their time to join our various committees. If you are passionate about music and entertainment and have some background in these areas, consider joining the Entertainment or Concert Series Committees. If you have food service or restaurant experience the Cafe committee is looking for you. Additionally, we are looking for volunteers for the Pool committee to improve these areas and to see that the pool rules are followed. Your involvement will make a real difference. LANDSCAPING As of today the landscaping team has over 40 work orders to complete in addition to their weekly maintenance of our common property.
