Good Morning Residents,


Next week, TO THE POINTE will be an afternoon edition, due to the HPA BOD reorganization meeting on Friday morning.


CLUBHOUSE – ROOF 
Danny Stokes of RAI INC. has been engaged to start the process of obtaining quotes from various vendors for our roof replacement project. There will be two Phases to this project. 
Phase I: 
Compose Re-Roof RFP/Specifications for Bidding the New Low Slope Flat Roof & Steep Slope Tile Roof Systems, Entire Bid Process & Content.
Phase II:
In-Progress Inspection/Project Oversight of the Re-Roof Process. Ensure the New Tile & Flat Roofs are installed correctly per the Roof Advisors Inc. Specifications Project Manual & Florida Building Code, Eighth Edition (2023).
Danny Stokes of RAI Inc. will also be writing the specifications for the Roof on the new Maintenance Building.


POOLS

MAKO will be refurbishing both the Indoor and Main Outdoor pool at the same time. Next week some of their crew will be on premises to evaluate their set up areas.

HPA SPECIAL RENOVATION MEETING MARCH 7, 2023 – SUMMARY
The Board approved the following motion:
To accept the contract amendment #1 of the basic Zabik & Associates contract to closeout the clubhouse renovation and oversee the Maintenance Building, Indoor and Outdoor Pool renovation at a rate of $6500. per month.
The Board discussed the addition of a bathroom and slop sink to the Maintenance Building at an extreme additional cost and found it not necessary.
The Board also discussed the return of the extra money borrowed from South State Bank at an interest rate of 3.7%. The Board will reevaluate the needs of the community and make a decision at their April 15, 2024 meeting.

HPA BOD REORGANIZATION MEETING 

Please join us on Friday March 15, 2024 at 10:00am via Zoom.

At this meeting your HPA Board members will select their 2024/2025 
President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. 
The HPA BOD April 15, 2024 meeting will be the start of in person meetings in the ballroom. For those residents who wish to view via zoom, that option will also be available.


HPA PRESENTS – THE EDWARD TWINS – SOLD OUT SHOW 

This show is Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 8:00pm. The doors will open at 7:15pm
for seating. The show will start promptly at 8pm. Please remember NO SHORTS are allowed. If you use a Walker, please tag it with your name and seat number and an usher will help you with it.


COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD

All postings will be removed on Friday March 29, 2024.
We are providing residents with 3×5 index cards, which are next to the CBB.
Only these cards should be used for your postings. This CBB is for residents 
postings ONLY. Clubs and Organizations have the clear bins on either side of the mailboxes. Going forward, all postings will be removed from the CBB on the last work day of each month. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation.


FIRE SAFETY CLASS – THE LIFE YOU SAVE MAY BE YOUR OWN.

On Thursday March 28, 2024 @10am in the clubhouse ballroom PBC Fire Rescue will be giving a class on Fire Safety in our clubhouse ballroom. Some topics discussed will be alarms, escape plans, electrical and cooking fires.

Please register for this class at the front desk. 


HPA THEATER PERFORMING ARTS – AUDITIONS
The Performing Arts group is pleased to announce they have secured the right to present “PAJAMA GAME” in March of 2025. They are casting for leading roles now. Rehearsals will begin in November. If you would like to have a speaking or singing part in this Broadway show that is headed for the stage in the HP Clubhouse Theater, please call Marc Jablon @ 561-213-6139 or Mary Rudnick @ 561-455-4276 before March 18th.
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME – MARCH 10, 2024 @ 2:00am

Remember to move your clocks AHEAD one hour and “spring forward”, before you go to bed Saturday night, creating an extra hour of daylight in the evening and cutting morning light short by an hour.


ONE STOP SHOPPING –  MONDAY & WEDNESDAY – 9:30am – 11:30am

They are located on the lower level of the clubhouse in card room #1.
You may purchase Club and Organization tickets to their events, pay your dues or become a member of a new club. ONE STOP SHOPPING, will be closing up for this season. There last day will be Monday April 1, 2024.


COVID-19
On Friday March 1, 2024 the CDC announced new guidelines for individuals who test positive for Covid-19. They recommend that Covid-19 be treated like the Flu. If you have two days without fever, you no longer need to routinely stay home for five days.
